Two Close Aides of Gangster Arsh Dala Arrested in Faridkot, Weapons Recovered
In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in coordination with the Faridkot police, arrested two close associates of foreign-based gangster Arsh Dala during a late-night operation near Dana Mandi Chowk in Sadiq on Tuesday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Vishal Singh from Muktsar and Onkar Singh from Gamewala village in Ferozepur district. During the operation, the police recovered two .30 bore pistols along with six live cartridges from their possession.
According to Faridkot SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, preliminary investigations revealed that Vishal Singh, who was recently released on bail, was actively conspiring to target a rival gang member. “He was in direct contact with handlers abroad and was waiting for instructions to execute a major criminal act in Punjab,” she said.
Both suspects have a criminal background with multiple cases already registered against them. Police officials confirmed that further investigations are underway to uncover the broader network, including establishing both backward and forward linkages in the gang’s operations.
Authorities believe the arrests are a crucial step in dismantling the criminal infrastructure linked to Arsh Dala’s syndicate in the region.
