Punjab Government Launches Major Recruitment Drive for 1,000 Medical Officer Posts
In a significant step toward strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure, the Punjab Government has announced a large-scale recruitment drive to fill 1,000 vacancies for medical officers (MBBS doctors). This initiative marks the state’s most extensive recruitment effort for medical officers in decades, aiming to resolve long-standing staff shortages in government hospitals and health centres across Punjab.
Aspiring candidates can submit their applications through the official website of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, starting April 25. The application window will remain open until May 15. Detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, selection process, and application procedures will be made available on the BFUHS website.
The Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has applauded the move, expressing strong support for the government’s commitment to improving public healthcare services through this timely recruitment initiative.
