Jalandhar Students Shine in CBSE Exams with Record Scores and Self-Study Discipline

Students from Jalandhar delivered exceptional results in the CBSE examinations this year, with several achieving top ranks through unwavering determination, disciplined self-study, and smart time management strategies.

Class XII Achievers: A Celebration of Focus and Perseverance

Topping the district in the humanities stream, Trisha Arora of Innocent Hearts School, Loharan branch, and Rishampreet Kaur of Police DAV Public School, PAP Campus, both scored an impressive 99%, emerging as joint district toppers.

Trisha, daughter of Harpreet Kumar (an Army Telephone Exchange employee), has never taken private tuition since Class IV. She attributed her success to consistent effort and balance. “I stayed focused without stressing about marks and maintained a steady rhythm of self-study,” said Trisha, who aspires to study Journalism and Mass Communication and eventually attempt the civil services examination.

Rishampreet, daughter of a government school teacher, Iqbal Singh, followed a target-based approach. “Instead of a fixed timetable, I set chapter-wise deadlines and prioritised conceptual clarity,” she said. Like Trisha, she relied entirely on self-study and now plans to pursue psychology as a career.

Sharing the second position in the district were Rupinder Kaur of MD Dayanand Model School, Nakodar, and Yojit Verma of Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town branch. Both scored 98.6% in the commerce stream. Rupinder attributed her performance to a strict routine and focus, while Yojit credited consistent revision, effective time management, and guidance from teachers. Both expressed heartfelt gratitude to their families and mentors.

Class X Stars: Young Achievers Set the Bar High

In Class X, Adaa Puri of MGN Public School, Urban Estate Phase II, stood out with a stunning 99.8%, making her not only the district topper but also one of the highest scorers in the state. Daughter of realtor Sameer Kumar Puri, Adaa has opted for the commerce stream and dreams of becoming an accountant.

“My success came from staying organised. I studied 3–4 hours daily, increasing to 10 hours as exams approached,” said Adaa, who also excels in public speaking, having won multiple prizes in debates and speech competitions.

MGN Principal Rajwinder Pal hailed Adaa's achievement as a reflection of her "hard work and self-belief," and praised the school’s teachers for their dedication to student growth.

Guneet Kaur of Sant Swami Dass Public School secured second place in the district with 99.6%, while the third position was jointly shared by Shreya of Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School and Harleen Kaur of CJS Public School, both scoring 99.2%.

All Class X toppers agreed that self-discipline, time management, and consistency were more important than long study hours. “It’s not about how much time you study, but how effectively you use that time,” they emphasized.

Jalandhar's CBSE achievers have set an inspiring example for students across the state, proving that focused self-study, goal setting, and balanced routines can lead to remarkable success—without relying heavily on coaching or external support.
