Faridkot: Protest Marks 10 Years Since Sacrilege Incident

On the 10th anniversary of the theft of a saroop of Guru Granth Sahib from the Burj Jawahar Singh Wala gurdwara, Panthic organisations and locals held a mass protest march in Faridkot district on Sunday. The march began from the village gurdwara and ended at Kotkapura's main chowk. Protesters warned that if a chargesheet is not filed within a month in the Behbal Kalan firing case, they will gherao the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.


Chandigarh: Cabinet Meeting Called Ahead of Bypoll

Abohar: Austria-Made Pistol Seized Near Border

The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered an Austria-made Glock pistol and magazine near the NS Wala border outpost in Jalalabad. The weapon was found in a field near Peer Baba Natha Singh Wali Dhani on Saturday night. A case under the Arms Act has been registered against unidentified persons.


Rajasthan: BJP Leader Held for Smuggling Opium

A 38-year-old man, allegedly a BJP leader, was arrested in Rawatsar, Rajasthan, on charges of opium smuggling. His car had images of PM Narendra Modi, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, along with a BJP flag on the bonnet. The arrest has sparked attention due to the political affiliation of the accused.


Muktsar: 3 Youths Killed in Road Accident

Three young men—Vansh (19), Love (19), and Happy (20)—all from Bagha Purana in Moga district, died in a road accident on the Kotkapura–Moga road near Panjgrain Kalan village early Sunday morning. Their motorcycle reportedly collided head-on with a PRTC bus coming from Jaito. Two died on the spot; the third succumbed to injuries at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot. Police are investigating.
