Civilian Killed, Nine Injured in Mysterious Aircraft Crash in Bathinda’s Aklian Kalan Village

Bathinda, Punjab — A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday when an unidentified aircraft crashed and burst into flames in Aklian Kalan village, located in the Bathinda district. The crash claimed the life of a civilian and left nine others injured.

The deceased has been identified as Govind, a farm labourer from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in a harvested wheat field, situated roughly 500 meters from the nearest residential area.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft flying at an unusually low altitude late Tuesday night. Many farm labourers were still present at the local grain market when they noticed the aircraft. Moments later, it plummeted into the fields and caught fire.

As villagers rushed toward the wreckage to help, a sudden explosion rocked the crash site. Govind was killed instantly, while nine others sustained injuries from the blast.

Authorities have sealed off the area, and a full-scale investigation is underway to identify the aircraft and determine the cause of the crash. So far, no details have been released about the pilot or the aircraft's origin.
