Akal Takht, SGPC Leaders Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack

Officiating Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives. Extending heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, he prayed to Akal Purakh for eternal peace for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families to accept His will.

Reflecting on the tragedy, Giani Gargaj recalled the horrific Chittisinghpura massacre of March 2000, where 35 Sikhs were killed in Kashmir—a case where, he noted, the truth has still not come to light.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami also condemned the attack, describing it as a barbaric and inhumane act. He emphasized that such violence stands in stark contrast to spiritual and humanitarian teachings, which uphold peace and compassion.
