PM Modi Vows Ruthless Pursuit of Pahalgam Terror Attack Perpetrators
In his first public statement since the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning, declaring that India would pursue the perpetrators to the very ends of the earth, break their backs, and eliminate them completely.
Speaking from Madhubani in poll-bound Bihar during a National Panchayati Raj Day event, the Prime Minister described the attack as not just an assault on innocent tourists but on the soul of India itself. “The attackers and their conspirators will face a punishment beyond anything they can imagine,” he said, blending Hindi with English during his emotionally charged address.
Without naming Pakistan directly, Modi made it clear that India would not rest until every terrorist and their supporters were brought to justice. “From the soil of Bihar, I tell the world: India will never bow to terrorism. We will identify, hunt down, and punish all involved. No one will escape,” he stated firmly, thanking global leaders who had expressed solidarity with India in the wake of the attack.
The Prime Minister’s remarks strongly reinforced India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and hinted at a forceful response to those responsible. “Mark my words — those behind this attack will be destroyed. The time has come to erase the last remaining traces of terror,” he asserted.
Modi’s statement came a day after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a similar declaration, emphasizing that India would not only target the terrorists but also those orchestrating attacks from the shadows — a pointed message to Pakistan. Singh has already signaled that a strong response to the Kashmir attack is imminent.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to the victims, noting that they came from various regions of the country and spoke different languages. “The entire nation mourns this tragedy. The murder of innocent tourists has deeply wounded us all,” he said, adding that the government was actively supporting the survivors.
